Pathological Area Detection in MR Images of Brain

This paper focuses on automatic locatingof pathological areas in brain and its extraction. Theknowledge of properties of healthy brains are used forlocating the approximate position of a pathological area.These areas are found as parts of the brain breaking theleft-right symmetry. This method works for axial andcoronal slices and it was tested on T2-weighted imagesand FLAIR images in both planes
