Develop a data collection and analysis system that is able to evaluate and visualize the business case of research at TU Wien. In particular, the following performance indicators should be derived: (1) Costs per publication (based on public data from conferences + entries in the TU paper repository); (2) student involvement in the publication process (by identifying links between master’s and other theses and publications, etc.); (3) involvement of project assistants (third party funded) vs. university staff in the publication / supervision process; (4) identification of other links between teaching performance and publications / projects (using the data coming from TISS REST interfaces); (5) comparison of teaching performance vs. publication output per lecturer, institute, faculty; etc.

Requires excellent knowledge in data science and web data management. If performed as a diploma thesis must include user evaluation of results (qualitative interviews based on infographics).
