Description

The benefits of breath exercises for stress reduction and lung capacity training are well known and recognised, and many apps have been developed that provide guidance through graphics elements during exercises. Consumer fitness devices such as smart watches and respiratory belts can deliver detailed information on users’ breath parameters. The goal of this topic is to create an immersive environment in which a user can interact with the virtual elements by performing breath exercises. Breath parameters are collected by a wearable device and transformed into interaction input. Instead of simply following the guidance of an interface, the user can see the feedback of their breath exercise performance by interacting with the environment.

The topic is available as a PR (Praktikum/Project) or bachelor thesis. In case of a PR, a follow-up master thesis is possible given interest, good ideas and a succesfull implementation of the project.
