Description
The Flexible Spaces concept enables infinite real walking in a limited real workspace by a procedural generation approach that results in a continuously changing, self-reorganizing, and self-overlapping virtual maze that maintains the connections (think connected graph).
This graph can start with a search query in one room and grow as we explore a certain topic with follow-up queries. Using LLMs, the information will be found and mapped in a room, forming clusters based on the semantic relations between the items, possibly linking to the existing rooms or suggesting further exploration. The approach is similar to the Memory Palace memorization technique.
In this project, you will develop an approach for such immersive search and information visualization, using the existing Flexible Spaces algorithm. This work explores the future use of the Flexible spaces prototype for an immersive experience of the information.
Tasks
- Given the existing virtual environment, develop the procedural mapping of the found information.
- Assist with the evaluation of the approach with real users.
- (optional) Assist with the publishing of the results.
Prerequisites
Programming skills, experimental mindset.
