Build a hybrid VR system for bowling that involves throwing a real ball but virtualizes the rolling of the ball as well as the collision with the pins (shown on a screen, i.e. not HMD involved). The focus of the topic is on (1) building the hardware in our hybridlab, (2) tracking the ball, (3) estimating the outcome and only then (4) rendering the rolling ball + the collision. Groups of two students are welcome. Requires experience in VR programming (Unity).
